Colpitts Clinical is excited to announce that a few members of our team are set to attend several conferences in the United States between March and October 2017. Ever-changing regulations, fast-paced medical advancements, and an increasing focus on patient-centered research are putting pressure on biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to work faster and more efficiently as they conduct clinical trials related to drug discovery and development. Networking is one way that these companies stay at the forefront of their rapidly shifting industry. Here at Colpitts, we have 15 years of experience to share with our clients, and others who attend industry events and conferences.
Alan M. Krensky says he is excited to start the year with two conferences hosted by MassBio, an organization with which Colpitts has a long history.
“Last year Colpitts hosted a Lunch and Learn event at MassBio to share our expertise on clinical travel logistics, so we are pleased to attend these events where we can learn more about how Colpitts’ clinical travel services can support research,” Krensky says.
Conferences at which you can look for us include:
- The Expanding Role of CROs in External Innovation, March 16, 2017 (past)
- 2017 MassBio Annual Meeting, March 30, 2017 (past)
- The Global Orphan Drug Conference and Expo, April 19-21, 2017 (past)
- Clinical Trial Innovation Summit, April 24-26, 2017 (past)
- Advancing Rare Disease Drug Discovery: Navigating the Path to an IND, May 15, 2017
- Outsourcing in Clinical Trials New England, September 6-7, 2017
- Rare Diseases and Orphan Products Breakthrough Summit, October 16-17, 2017
Clinical conferences offer an opportunity for trial sponsors and site coordinators to learn about efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities. Executing the logistics involved in a clinical trial often falls on the shoulders of site coordinators, who are also tasked with all the on-site work involved in running the trial. Colpitts absorbs the travel logistics, including transportation, housing, patient reimbursements and per diems, and special accommodations, including air ambulance.
Colpitts is looking forward to these events, and we hope to meet some great people there. You can also expect more blog posts from our Clinical team once they’ve returned from these conferences!
