Colpitts World Travel continues its relationship as a key travel provider for one of the leading global arts festivals, bringing some of the world’s greatest performers to Scotland’s capital city this summer.
For the fifth straight year the company is managing travel arrangements for the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF), handling visits from the London Symphony Orchestra, which is sending approximately 112 to this year’s event, and Ballet Zurich of Switzerland which will bring approximately 52 performers to the city in August.
In addition to its on-going work with EIF, the Colpitts Edinburgh-based European headquarters also looks after Scottish Ballet and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, managing travel and visa applications for their out-going international tours.
Commenting on the partnership, Drew Young, Edinburgh International Festival Artists Co-ordinator said: “We’ve worked with Colpitts for some five years now and find their service and expertise invaluable. If ever we can’t find a travel solution, they’ll find it for us.”
Ian Scholes, Director of European Operations, Colpitts World Travel, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing in our role as a key travel management provider for the Edinburgh International Festival. Through our on-going association with EIF and other organisations Colpitts has developed a strong level of expertise within the arts sector where there can be significant challenges in areas such as dealing with international visa requirements and managing specialist freight including tuned and extremely high value musical instruments.”
